Building communities with light
Landscape lighting can bring neighbourhoods together by improving safety and security, engendering civic pride and encouraging social interactions. It can also support community activities and events in the evening by creating welcoming spaces. Magdalena Gomez, a designer specialising in landscapes and lighting, looks at examples of successful community lighting projects.
