Guest Blog: Torc Pots
Torc Pots is a family-run business working together to create artisan designs,
specialising in handcrafting pots and outdoor furniture for both commercial and
residential spaces.
Torc began when founder Hylton Hugo was still working in high-end property
development. Unable to source large, impactful and beautiful pots to enhance his
development projects, he took matters into his own hands and started
experimenting with different mixtures and techniques until he came up with his
own design mix. With his extensive background in the property industry, his natural
understanding of engineering, the creative eye of both himself and his partner
Nicole, they had the requisite skill set to create a very special and entirely unique
product.
Once Hylton realised the huge potential and unique robustness and workability of
the material, he decided to open Torc officially. Initially, he was creating pots and
planters but nowadays Torc is the “go-to” brand for bespoke designs for everything
from pots to water features, fire tables to outdoor furniture; the list is endless. Torc is
consistently pushing the boundaries of design with fantastic results, working
alongside designers and architects from all over the globe to enable them to bring
their creative visions to life.
Five years later Torc ships its products all over the world and has featured at the RHS
Chelsea Flower Show multiple times creating their own trade stands as well as
providing many bespoke pieces for RHS gold medal-winning designers.
